It is estimated that by 2020, nearly 2 billion smart meters will be installed worldwide, the smart grid will cover 80% of the world's population, and the penetration rate of smart meters will reach 60%. This is a huge opportunity for China's electric energy meter enterprises to open up overseas markets.

China is a large country producing electric energy meters. At present, major products such as inductive electric meters, electronic electric meters and intelligent electric meters have reached or approached the technical standards of developed countries. The production and research and development capabilities have also been able to meet the different needs of the international market. It has obvious advantages and has strong international competitiveness.

With the development of e-commerce and international trade, more and more domestic energy meter companies have begun to try to “go global”. In emerging smart meter market countries such as Asia, Africa, and Latin America, they have obtained more and more market share. For example, in June of this year, Wasion Group and Haixing Power won the bids of 84 million yuan and 80 million yuan for the "Bangladesh BREB Smart Energy Meter Project", providing prepaid smart energy meters and installation services for Bangladesh.

Therefore, domestic electric energy meter companies should not only pay attention to the competition in the domestic market, but also actively participate in the competition in the international market, actively introduce foreign advanced technology and business and profit models, combine domestic advantages, and improve their own strength. The joint development of the market realizes the leap-forward development of enterprises.
